ABOUT US
My name is Raylene Cullen and I am the Owner/Operator of “Executive Pets”.
Animals have and will always been my passion. I have been a pet owner since the age of 6, caring for a variety of animals beginning with a pet rabbit named Cindy. Since then, my love of all animals has only grown and I have since owned a variety of pets including pet goats, turtles, horses, dogs, cats, birds and reptiles. I went through pony club becoming an instructor when I was 18 years old.
Current members of our household include:
Lizzy & Willy (Princess Elizabeth & Prince William - the cats)
Charlie (our darling blue staffie) and
Jake (our Murray Darling Python).
They all live indoors and are all spoilt rotten!
I also completed WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information and Rescue Service) training in 2008.
I have been employed in the Electrical Wholesale Industry for the past 22 years and have often had to travel interstate for business. I have always been lucky enough that my husband is home every morning & evening to be able to look after our pets while I am away. It was only when we decided to plan a long deserved holiday together that we had to decide on the best available care for our very spoilt pets. As they had never spent a night out of their own home, boarding kennels and catteries did not seem like an option as I was afraid that they would become stressed away from the safety of their own environment. Charlie is also very affectionate and loves his daily walks, playtime and cuddles and I was not sure a kennel environment would give him his daily enrichment. He also needs regular medication and I was not confident that this would be administered when required. My other concern was Jake as not everybody is comfortable handling reptiles. Although he is quite easy to care for, pythons are just not everyone’s cup of tea!
After making many enquiries, it became evident that there was not a local service that could tailor a solution to meet ALL of my pets needs and that is how “EXECUTIVE PETS” began.
